Carly Hitchens
3D Print Jewellery
Carly is a jeweller, born and raised in Penzance, Cornwall. In 2021 she completed a MA in Jewellery at Arts University Plymouth. This completely changed her practice, and she has now embarked on a new journey.
Inspired by the molecular structures within crystals and minerals, she translates the mathematical formulas and geometric forms using digital technology. Each piece of jewellery is 3D printed in white nylon before being hand dyed with silver findings. Digital technology has become integral to her work.
She wants to create discussion around her jewellery, exploring how science and art can come together, enabling others to be open to new concepts of designs.
