Up in the clouds with Laura Workman
We have recently had new work in from local artist, Laura Workman. Laura is a self-taught artist living in North Cornwall. Most of the work that we have from Laura is from her Clouds Collection. We are very excited to have some new pieces from Matthew Patrick, a woodturner whose fabulous work we have had in the Gallery for some time. Matthew uses various techniques including Shou Sugi Ban, carving, texturing and colouring and now he has added bleaching to his work and we have our first piece. We have some gorgeous new items in from metalsmith Rebecca Walklett. Rebecca has a studio space at Potager Garden ( www.potagergarden.org ) near Constantine. Rebecca works with materials such as copper, gilding metal & pewter, trying new techniques and patinas while perfecting old ones. She makes jewellery, bowls, boxes and vessels. Barbara McMillan's gorgeous floral paintings
We are delighted to welcome another local artist, Barabara McMillan. Barbara McMillan Barbara trained at Bath Academy of Art and subsequently taught art in schools and adult centres. She moved to Cornwall from Surrey in 1998 and had a studio gallery in Golant near Fowey and now lives in Lostwithiel.
