Fijke Middendorp
Printmaking
Fijke discovered and fell in love with printmaking when she studied for a degree in art and design at Cornwall College, after a career in medicine. Originally from the Netherlands she has lived in West Cornwall since 1998 and works from her studio at Krowji in Redruth.
Using her daily practice of early morning drawing as a starting point she creates one-off prints on her intaglio printing press. She loves the magic of printmaking, and enjoys experimenting with mixing up different techniques.
