We are delighted to welcome another local artist, Barabara McMillan.

Barbara McMillan

Barbara trained at Bath Academy of Art and subsequently taught art in schools and adult centres.  She moved to Cornwall from Surrey in 1998 and had a studio gallery in Golant near Fowey and now lives in Lostwithiel.

Her travels to Mexico, Guatemala and Singapore inspired her flamboyant series of flower and foliage subjects. We have four of this fabulous colourful collection in the Gallery, just perfect to cheer up a dreary winter day.

Barbara works mainly in oils, as well as acrylic and pastels done ‘en plien air’ and worked up in the studio. Photographic references are used for some tropical subjects, abroad and at locations like the Eden Project and westerly Cornish gardens. Other subjects include landscapes, seascapes and portraits.
